From August 22 to 29, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board organized a series of promotional events dedicated to Azerbaijan’s tourism sector in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Astana (Kazakhstan), Moscow and St. Petersburg (Russia), and Minsk (Belarus).
The events featured 14 local tourism partners, including the Shahdag Mountain Resort representing Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings.
As part of the initiative, B2B (business-to-business) meetings were held to establish and expand bilateral partnerships, introducing attendees to Azerbaijan’s tourism potential, including Baku, the country’s regions, and both summer and winter tourism experiences.
Additionally, foreign tourism industry representatives received detailed insights into Azerbaijan’s health tourism facilities, therapeutic resorts, ski resorts, and other tourism products.
Notably, between January and July 2024, 527,785 visitors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Belarus traveled to Azerbaijan, marking a 20% increase compared to the same period last year.
